From March to December, EOS Innovation started to develop its first robot, called e-one.
Designed to be a home « butler », e-one was able to play educational games with children, offer multimedia solutions for the parents or be a daily assistant in the elderly.
The first working prototype was out in December and showed to the first Innorobo exhibition in March 2011. At the end of the year EOS Innovation was certified Scientipôle Initiative showing how serious the company’s project was.
Unfortunately ahead of its time, e-one project was stopped early 2011.
Looking up for a promising market the company saw that the security branch was interested in e-one’s abilities to move autonomously and detect movements.
An 8 months market study started, and the team met more than 150 persons (security companies, guardians, warehouses, industrials…) in order to have a global approach of this sector’s issues.
At the end of the year a first prototype was born to confirm the solution’s features with customers and received good feedback.
During this year EOS Innovation was also certified « Entreprise Innovante des Pôles », join the « Réseau Entreprendre », and received two innovation prizes reinforcing the overall quality of its project.
Early 2012 EOS Innovation moved from Télécom Sud Paris business incubator to a bigger business incubator called Le Magellan still in Evry (30km south of Paris).
The team focused on developing the robot’s features and a first prototype with the final design was shown at Innorobo exhibition in March. The first on-site tests are made in partnership with Renault, French car manufacturer.
In July the company is the prizewinner of the European Innovative company competition.

Starting from scratch in mid-February with just the customer’s specifications, EOS Innovation design a brand new robot, called Captain DC, based on evolve development platform created at the time. The first prototypes are installed in July and industrialization starts immediately afterwards. In addition to this new robot, EOS Innovation signed a distribution partnership with Derichebourg Technology which became the exclusive distributor for e-vigilante in France. This partnership shows how efficient and relevant is e-vigilante for the security market.
